A New York federal judge recently affirmed a freeze of 300 million dollars of assets owned by Venezuela's state oil company following a legal challenge by US oil major ExxonMobil. The dispute between the world’s largest oil company and Venezuela began after the Venezuelan government nationalized heavy crude producing oil assets held by international oil companies, including ExxonMobil this year.
